Gestão do trabalho e educação na saúde: Relato de uma experiência
The aim of this paper is to report the actions taken to maximize the management of work in oral health care in Vassouras/RJ. The
diagnosis of the weaknesses of the dental field in the Family Health Program in Vassouras signaled a failure on the principle of
completeness, verified by the actions provided by the professional team of oral health. The problem stemmed, in large part by the
lack of human resources training, technical profile which did not include some items essential to the professional who intends
to act in the SUS. The diagnosis revealed a heterogeneity in the operation of the work units, especially in the organization of
access to dental services that needed to be constantly (re) evaluated on the basis of historical pent-up demand. Were identified in
the professional training needs in different areas, that jeopardized the fulfillment of some principles of the SUS. Committed to
solving the problems related to dental care in primary care, the Municipal Health Service has partnered with the University Seve-
rino Sombra (USS), with which had positive history of cooperation agreements. Contemplation of the Municipal Health Service
and the Higher Education Institution with the National Re-Training of Health Professional, led to the construction of a schedule
of training for these professionals, seeing that the results would help to qualify for assistance health care offered to residents.
